Evan Chait, PT, L.Ac, CNRT – President & Co-Founder
Evan Chait PT, L.Ac, CNRT, is the co-founder of Kinetic PT. Evan is a physical therapist, acupuncturist, herbalist, and nutritionist that has received top accolades in the health and fitness world. Evan has developed one of the strongest physical therapy and personal training teams in the country.
Evan has co-authored the Sports Injury Guidebook with Dr. Robert Gotlin and The Physical Therapy Prescription with Dr. Grant Cooper, and has been featured on ESPN radio and ESPN magazine. In addition, he has consulted with the NY Knicks and NJ Nets and has worked with over 75 professional athletes.
Evan is the founder and creator of the Chait Neuropathic Release Technique (CNRT), a multidisciplinary assessment and treatment technique that treats chronic and acute pain patterns. CNRT has helped over 3000 people and has had a very high success rate.
Evan’s passion to help people and his devotion to learning, differentiates himself and his company from others. His TEAM are the leaders in the industry and have set exceptional standards of care. In addition, his TEAM participates in 8 hours of clinical education per month to increase these standards. Furthermore, each physical therapist is certified in CNRT and it is exclusively found at Kinetic PT.
Edward Chait- CFO & Co-Founder
Ed, co-founder of KINETIC PT, is a highly motivated professional, combining extensive experience as CPA, chief financial officer, collection specialist, chief operating officer and forensic accountant. He holds the responsibility for any sports management consulting, operation management, and accounting or finances for KINETIC PT. Ed possesses an accomplished record in increasing revenues, implementing improvements, and assisting the legal process
With over thirty years of professional experience and being licensed in New Jersey and New York as a Certified Public Accountant, Ed has become an essential part of the Kinetic PT team.
Karen Shirazi-Director of Operations
Karen has been a strong asset to the company since 2001 and her guidance along with her experience has helped facilitate the growth of the company. Karen’s leadership is the most valuable asset in directing a staff, which has grown from 2 to 16 employees. She has 13 years experience in the medical field and management positions, and is an integral part of the company within the organization.
With Karen’s strong work ethic, professionalism, and management skills she has truly become an essential part of Kinetic Physical Therapy. Lastly, her compassion and funny wit only enhances her effectiveness as the Director of Operations.
Jeff Varghese, PT, DPT Director of Physical Therapy
Jeff joined Kinetic Physical Therapy in December of 2010 as Physical Therapy Clinical Manager. In July of 2011 he was promoted to Director of Physical Therapy.
Jeff received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2009, he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He is a Cum Laude graduate of S.U.N.Y. Buffalo where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy.
Jeff is a New York and New Jersey Board Certified Physical Therapist with over ten years experience dealing with a variety of orthopedic pathologies. Having trained with prominent manual therapists throughout his career, he uses only the most up to date techniques and procedures when treating his clientele. With his primary focus on maximizing function, Jeff is currently pursuing his Manual Therapy Certification through the University of Saint Augustine.
Jeff has served as the Physical Therapy Coordinator for the New York Road Runners and the ING NYC Marathon. He has worked with Olympic runners and marathoners, tri-athletes, collegiate athletes, as well as first time runners. Having been a collegiate athlete himself, he utilizes his background to better relate to and treat his patients.
Wesley Arcentales, PT, DPT, CKPT Physical Therapist
Wesley Arcentales joined KineticPT in September 2010. Wes is a dynamic physical therapist with proven “manual skills” and a passion for hands-on therapy. He has experience working at both in-patient and out-patient treatment facilities.
Wesley earned his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy in 2010 at Seton Hall University. He, also, attended Seton Hall as an undergraduate, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 2005. While attending Seton Hall, Wes participated in an exchange program with Denmark, where he practiced for three months in an outpatient orthopedic setting. After returning from Copenhagen, he traveled with Seton Hall to Finland to assist in establishing an exchange program there. He was, also, the President of the Organization for Physical Therapy Students.
He brings to Kinetic his personal knowledge of athletics, and knows what it takes to be a strong athlete. He is finding his niche in sports orthopedic injuries and has recently become a Certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner. Wesley, a soccer player himself, is extremely dedicated to working out and keeping himself in optimum condition.
Kento Kamiyama, PT, DPT PHYSICAL THERIPIST
Kento joined Kinetic Physical Therapy in October of 2010. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Kento is a Cum Laude graduate of Ithaca College, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. He, also, studied Exercise Science from an Eastern Perspective in Japanese at Tsukuba University in Tsukuba Japan.
Kento became interested in medicine through his father who practices Qi Gong, a modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He had a strong desire to integrate his father’s techniques with Western medicine concepts and treatments. While coaching tennis and tutoring fellow students in school, Kento found a passion in learning and teaching biomechanics. In particular, he enjoys assisting others be it physically, mentally, or academically.
Kento is a certified clinician for the Rutgers’ S.A.F.E.T.Y. Seminar which certifies volunteer coaches for safety training. He has worked with Japanese Pro-tennis Players during the 2010 and 2011 US Open.
He hopes that his experience and hard-work will contribute to assisting patients and the community.
Eric Van Pelt- Physical Therapy Assistant
Eric joined the KineticPT team in 2006. He is a Dean’s List graduate of the SUNY Orange Physical Therapy Assistant program. Eric has combined his knowledge of biomechanics; flexibility; and speed, agility, and strength training with his clinical skills to help countless athletes at the professional, collegiate, high school, and youth levels. His dedication and commitment to life-long learning drives him to provide the highest quality of care to his patients.
Danny Burbano- Physical Therapy Assistant
Danny is a New York and New Jersey licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with over five years experience in both in-patient and out-patient settings. His passion for helping others led him to this field and inspires him to find new treatment strategies to help his patients rehabilitate as quickly as possible.
Tommi Paavola- Certified Personal Trainer
Tommi has a Master’s degree in Sport Sciences, majoring in physical education from the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland. He has also studied in Norway and England. Tommi is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and he educates coaches and trainers through writing articles and public speaking. His field of interest is enhancing movement and performance in forms of group and personal training. Tommi has also led our successful Junior Conditioning Programs for the young athletes in the surrounding areas throughout his time here at Kinetic PT.
Wendy Cohen-CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER
Wendy has had much experience in the health and fitness field. She has participated in the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and continues to educate herself in subjects such as, Midlife Fitness for Women, Senior Fitness, and Youth Fitness. Wendy spends much of her time training individuals, mostly women, and educating them about the importance of fitness at any age.
